Great Start for Gas Gas Race Team

The opening round of the Enduro world Championship for 2011 has seen a outstanding start for Gas Gas riders Ivan Cervantes, Christophe Nambotin and Ludivine Puy.

The 1st round held in Spain saw a great fight between Ivan and his competitors in both races in the E2 class. Ivan finishing the weekend in 2nd place and a great boost for the next round in Portugal.

Ivan Cervantes

I was very happy with this results and that there is still some improvement to be given and I am looking forward to going one step higher next week in Portugal.

Team mate Christophe Nambotin also had an amazing start to the championship with the Frenchman finishing 2nd in the E3 class pushing round 1 winner Mika Ahola all the way.

Christophe Nambotin

It’s been a great weekend for the Gas Gas team and confirms that we are working well together. Sunday was a good test as class winner Ahola rode very strong all weekend but I was able to be faster in some sections so I was able to push him all the way home.

But it was an outstanding ride by 2010 world female champion and Gas Gas rider Ludivine Puy that put Gas Gas on the top step with a clear victory on both days, and a warning to her competitors that she is out to win the championship again in 2011.

Next round will be held on the 9th and 10th April at Portugal.
